The CEILA - which replaces the CELA, Centre d'Etudes Linguistiques d'Avignon (1980-2000) - is part of
the "Jardin Des Cultures d'Europe",
a non profit association founded in may 2000, supported by the PACA Region. All participants are members.

The Jardin Des Cultures d'Europe is :
- supported by the PACA Region (Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur) and the Vaucluse department
- partner of the Cultural Services of foreign French Embassies
- approved by several German Länder for training holidays (Bildungsurlaub)
- interdisciplinary: Federative of about fifty organisations, members of the association.
Our approach :
The CEILA has as a vocation to promote the French language and culture to consolidate the opening-up of Europe,
to advance and secure it's place in the other countries of the world.
It considers the French language as a testimony and a vehicel of multicultural european values in mutual exchange
with other cultures in the world.
It favorises interdisciplinary exchanges in an intercultural movement, according to the Charter of the CEILA.
The team :
Graduated in the Didactic of the "Français Langue Etrangère (FLE)" and experienced.
Educated in the CEILA methodology.
For certain specific interventions, the educational team is expanded by
specialists or professionnals, who are partners of the association.
During your stay responsible persons for accommodation, animation and coordination will be available all the time.
It's methodology :
- ORAL, WRITING, GRAMMAR - Understanding and expression
- PROGRESSION by level but also customized.
- COMMUNICATIVE METHOD with intercultural inspiration based upon the latest educational manuals of the Français Langue Etrangère (FLE).
- EDUCATION based upon dialogue, authentic material (press, radio, literature, chanson...) and material created by the participants themselves (free production, recordings of enquiries...) for a systematic work according to applied linguistic principals.
Switching systematicaly from speech to text and from text to speech.
The educational content is directly related to :
- The life of the association (work linked with it's cultural events). You can consult the event schedule on the
website of the "Jardin Des Cultures d'Europe".
- current events in all there aspects
- life of the city and region
- the formation, the choices and objectives of the participants as well as there sensible, creative or artistic, affective, intellectual and cultural reactions.
