The charter of the CEILA and the "Jardin Des Cultures d'Europe"
One cannot talk to others - about oneself, about one's own language and culture - unless one
listens to those very others and talks to them.
We should let the world enter Europe, so that Europe can enter the world in a lively and
generous way.
We must have the world enter the French language if we want the French language to enter the
world.
What we want is : to be listening to the great twists and changes of the contemporary world.
The three "inter" : Interassociative, Interdisciplinary, Intercultural.
Polyvalence, complementarity, integration and the structuring of cultural organizations.
Coherence between overt political choices and professional, associative choices, with, in mind,
the idea of local, national and international solidarity. Application and testimony to the
Social Economy and ...sharing.
The extension of the educational space and team. Training courses in keeping with the surrounding
and socio-cultural events.
An educational methodology induced and sustained by the project of the association in a "come and
go" movement between creativity and systematization.
To challenge the techniques hidden under the concept of humanities as much as the "screens"... which
conceal more than they reveal.
To enrich political culture, as it produces more culture than the cultural policies, to respect
certain ethical values while re-establishing the power of imagination.
To reconcile culture and politics.
To venture into crossed movements with a view to develop :
an aethetics of language, communication and correspondances against the background of a fight for
the quality of human relationships and a better understanding between the countries of the world.
To refuse set models, instead to focus on a unique if risky one, challenging all short-lived models :
movement, in a constant quest for new types of exchanges and developments.
Re-read the sense of History through the different writings of its achievements.
